I have a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second language and a BA in English Literature so am well trained to teach you.

I’ve lived and taught overseas. A university instructor in Korea for 9 years, I understand your challenges to communicate in another language.  I was also a TOEFL supervisor.

I started English Tutoring by Trude in 1995 and have met the English needs of over 400 middle school, high school, college, and adult students.  It is satisfying to see them succeed. 

I’ve tutored business executives at the University of Washington’s Global Business Center. For 13 years, I guided managers through their class work, research, and presentations.  As a result, adults advanced in their careers.

I’ve developed professional courses for universities and companies.  For example, I’ve coordinated 7 Business English Trips to Seattle for Meiji University, Japan. Each group of students understood American culture better and earned higher TOEIC scores.
